THE DETAILS

When is our wedding?

Our wedding will be held at 3pm on Saturday the 6th of September 2025. The reception will start at 5pm.

Where will it be?

St Mary and St Hardulph Priory Church, Breedon-on-the-Hill (DE73 8AP). It’s about halfway between Nottingham and Leicester.

RSVP

Please complete this form for each person attending, by 31st May.

FAQ'S

What are the timings of the day?

From 2:30pm – Arrive at the church
3pm – The ceremony
4pm – Photos outside the church
5pm – Reception, starting with a music set
6pm – Food
7pm – Speeches & cake cutting
7:30pm – Opportunity to pray for the couple (optional)
12am – Reception venue closes

Where is the reception?

The reception will take place at Breedon Parish Hall. This is a 10 minute walk downhill from the church. The Parish Hall was completed in July 2023, so it is not visible on Google Maps. However it is located next to The Green bus stop in Breedon-on-the-Hill.

While the reception venue is booked until midnight, please feel welcome to leave whenever you’re ready – Irish goodbyes are allowed!

What’s the dress code?

We have no formal dress code, so just think classic wedding – suits, nice dresses, formal shirt & trousers, or your fanciest dungarees!

What food will there be?

There will be a pizza van making individual gourmet pizzas for everyone. There will be a range of topping choices including meat, vegetarian, and vegan. We’ll ensure all dietary requirements are catered for!

There will also be sweet options including tray bakes and the vegan wedding cake!

What parking is available?

Breedon Parish Church has a car park, but we anticipate the need to double park. The gate to this road will be locked at 7pm. You may therefore wish to park in the village and walk up to the church (please note this involves a steep hill).

Breedon Parish Hall has 14 car parking spaces, including 2 disabled spaces. We request these spaces are saved for those with mobility issues. There is ample on-street parking for all others.

What about accessibility?

Breedon Parish Church is a very old building, and therefore has a number of small steps for access. You can explore the church through a virtual tour here.

Breedon Parish Hall has ramp access. The upstairs room of the hall will be used as a Quiet Room, for anyone needing a sensory break through the reception.

Where can I stay locally?

If you are travelling and would like to stay in a hotel near the wedding, here are a few options:

Can I give you a wedding gift?

Gifts are absolutely not necessary – your presence with us for the wedding and your prayers over our marriage are more than enough!

However, if you’d like to give us something, there are a few things we’d really appreciate…

  • If you are crafty, we’d love if you could make us some art or decorations for our new home together!
  • If you can bake, we’d really appreciate any sweet treats you can bring for the reception (especially if they’re vegan). These can be dropped off at the Parish Hall before the ceremony. Please let us know in advance if you’re planning to bring something!
  • If you are a photographer, we’d love it if you brought your camera to the wedding. We have an official photographer, but would love to capture the wedding through your eyes also! Rolls of film will be provided.
  • If you have time on a Sunday morning, we’d really appreciate help with the clean-up. We have the Parish Hall booked until noon the day after the wedding, so no cleaning is necessary on the day itself. If you’re available, it would be amazing to have help as many hands make light work!
  • And finally, if you’d like to give financially, we really appreciate it. All gifts will be split 50:50 between our honeymoon fund and charity. The charities we’re supporting are NCYH and UNRWA. You can give in person or to our bank account (and send us a message to let us know)
