MUDLARKS: I

There is something primal about the process of searching and discovering hidden or ‘lost’ things. This is the beginning of a longer term project, Mudlarks.

Mark Kemp, or as he is better known “The Yorkshire Fossil Hunter” is a Hull based fossil hunter and collector. I made these pictures of Mark collecting on a beach in Somerset and at his home in Hull.

Mark offers guided fossil hunting experiences and fossil preparation classes in his workshop.
